This manual has been compiled to comply with the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (“PAIA"). It explains the categories of information held by 5th Avenue Properties (Pty) Ltd, a commercial and industrial real estate advisory firm, and how members of the public may request access to such information.

5. Records Held in Accordance with Other Legislation

Relevant legislation includes:

6. Request Procedure

  • Requests must be made in writing using Form C (available from the SAHRC or Department of Justice).
  • Requests should be addressed to Mr SAW Burnett. (Director 5th Avenue)
  • The requester must provide sufficient detail to identify the record and the requester.
  • Payment of a prescribed fee may be required before access is granted.

7. Grounds for Refusal

Access to records may be refused if disclosure would:

  • Unreasonably disclose personal information of a third party
  • Harm commercial or financial interests of the company or its clients
  • Endanger the safety of individuals or property
  • Breach confidentiality agreements with clients or partners

8. Availability of the Manual

This manual is available:

  • At the offices of 5th Avenue Properties
  • On request via email or post
  • On the company's website (if applicable)

9. Updates

This manual will be updated as required to comply with changes in legislation or organizational structure.
